Your Mission
As a member of our Quantum Communications project, you will:
- Design & Develop novel quantum communication systems and protocols
- Implement & Install quantum key distribution (QKD) networks in real-world environments
- Analyse & Interpret experimental and simulation data to drive insights
- Draft & Secure competitive research proposals and grant applications
- Collaborate & Communicate with interdisciplinary teams and present findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals
We have open positions in three focus areas:
- Quantum Communications Researcher – System Development
- Quantum Communications Researcher – QKD Network Installation
- Software Engineer (Supporting Quantum Networks)
What We’re Looking For
Education:
- Postdoctoral Researcher: PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Research Assistant: BSc in the same areas; (opportunity to pursue a PhD during your time at CUT)
Skills:
- Strong research methodology and data-analysis capabilities
- Creative problem-solver with a passion for quantum technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable:
- Prior publications or project experience in quantum technologies
- Familiarity with grant-writing and proposal submission
