Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Post-Fixture / Operations Controller to join the team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the post-fixture operations of dry bulk voyages, ensuring smooth execution, timely reporting, and commercial efficiency across the fleet. This is a critical role that sits at the core of the shipping operation, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maximize voyage performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage all aspects of post-fixture voyage execution (Time and Voyage Charter).
• Liaise with charterers, brokers, agents, masters, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.
• Issue voyage instructions and closely monitor vessel performance, ensuring compliance with charter party terms.
• Coordinate bunkering operations, including nominations and invoicing.
• Validate freight invoices, laytime calculations, and demurrage/despatch settlements.
• Track voyage costs and assist in voyage P&L reporting in collaboration with the commercial and finance teams.
• Handle claims, disputes, and insurance matters in coordination with legal/compliance teams where required.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and system updates in line with internal processes.
• Work closely with the technical team for operational matters and scheduling.
• Contribute to improving internal processes and voyage efficiency initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in post-fixture operations, ideally within a dry bulk owner or operator environment.
• Solid understanding of dry bulk charter party terms, operational procedures, and voyage economics.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in MS Office and shipping systems (e.g., IMOS, Veson, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders across time zones.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate.

Preferred:

• Experience working on various vessel sizes (Handy up to Ultramax).
• Familiarity with Middle East trading corridors and regional operational practices.
• Knowledge of voyage accounting and laytime calculation software.
