Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Trader/Portfolio Strategist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional to execute transactions for advisors and strategies across a broad spectrum of asset classes, including Fixed Income, Equities, ETFs, Mutual Funds, and Options, through electronic trading networks and various custodian platforms.
As a Portfolio Strategist, you will play a crucial role in guiding our advisors through the ever-evolving financial markets. You will be instrumental in developing investment strategies, navigating market trends, and steering portfolio decisions for our advisors. Your responsibilities will include crafting compelling presentations, focusing on client engagement and relationship management, and working closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that our firm remains at the forefront of the industry. This role entails a high level of decision-making authority in overall trading, strategy development and portfolio structuring.

Responsibilities:
· Analyze market conditions to determine appropriate trade structuring
· Process post-execution recon and handle the operation/administrative duties associated with the any trades that need attention
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory authorities as well as internal controls
· Be responsible for position maintenance of custom portfolios (e.g. Treasury or CD rolls)
· Ad-hoc duties as required, including but not limited to presentation preparation, reporting, assisting with incoming calls and queries.
· Drive improvement and change for a best-in-class trading platform experience
Place Mutual Fund, ETF and equity trades through our UMA trading platform, Charles Schwab, Pershing, Goldman Sachs, AXOS Clearing and Fidelity
Research and respond to routine-to-complex inquires within defined service level commitments
Trade Correction processing, reporting and analysis
Handle incoming inquiries from advisor teams related to the troubleshooting and review of complex account and data discrepancies
Partner with internal teams to document, review and update firm policies & procedures
Support day to day operations of our Unified Managed Account (UMA) platform
Assist advisors and their team with system navigation, configuration, and account setup
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with operations leadership team on projects and/or initiatives designed to streamline firm policies and procedures
· Assist advisors with asset allocation and manager selection.
· Provide continuous oversight and risk management of the account base.
· Educate Advisors and their clients about the benefits of UMA and how we can help them grow their practice.
· Organize and lead meetings with Advisors in support of their clients and prospects.
· Propose, develop, and review new solutions and enhancements
· Participate in continuous education with respect to firm’s investment advice, product research and industry trends
· Coordinate process improvements with internal and external partners
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s Degree required, with a concentration in Investments, Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics. CFA highly desirable. Five plus years of investment management or related work experience. Non-profit institutional investing experience a plus. Strong working knowledge of securities, portfolio construction and financial markets. Experience with Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg Terminal, or a similar financial/investment data provider’s software. Excellent management skills.. A heart for serving others and a passion for helping our advisors and their clients achieve their financial and charitable purposes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate investment strategies and interact effectively with clients. Excellent customer service skills; excellent interpersonal skills for a quality working relationship with accountants, Must be self-directed and motivated, able to work independently with excellent follow through and attention to detail, yet also able to work collaboratively with others.

Requirements:
· FINRA Series 7, 65 and/or 24 (must be licensed)
· Designations: CFA, CIMA, CAIA
· 5+ years of trading experience
· Portfolio management experience in Equities and overall Asset allocation
· Experience trading equites, fixed income, options, ETFs, Mutual Funds and ETFs
· Experience with NetX360, Bond Beacon, Bond Central, BondNav, and other Custodian specific trading systems.
· Detail oriented; Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
· Strong team player who has the ability to envision solutions and work collaboratively to institute business improvements
· Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency
· Strong communication skills
· Keen intuition for markets and a passion for studying them
· Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree with business related coursework. B.S. in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting preferred
· Knowledge of financial securities markets, Advisory platforms, programs, and products, as well as legal and regulatory requirements
· Ability to adapt to a continually changing work environment while managing multiple priorities
· Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms
· Portfolio management experience in Equities and overall Asset allocation
