Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That’s refreshing.

We’re looking for a Portfolio, Program, and Project Management (PPPM) Specialist to help strengthen how projects are delivered across AusNet. Based in the Group Operations team, this role works closely with the Director, Strategic Programs and key stakeholders to shape and maintain the tools, standards, and processes that guide project, program, and portfolio delivery across the organisation.

Another core component of the role involves supporting and leading our PPPM Community of Practice—creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth across project teams.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving systems, processes and ways of working, sharing knowledge, and supporting others to deliver with confidence and clarity.

We offer a flexible 3/2 hybrid working model (Southbank office and work-from-home), with occasional travel as required.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Work with the Group PMO leadership team and key stakeholders to establish and maintain an enterprise level comprehensive set of standards, processes and tools for portfolio, program, and project management.
  • Support alignment with industry best practices (ISO 21500) and organizational goals.
  • Regularly review and update standards and processes to reflect changes in the business environment and emerging trends.
  • Conduct independent project assurance and post-implementation reviews as required.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of PPPM practices, tool usage and data quality/accuracy.
  • Maintain the PPPM community of practice, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Organize regular community events, workshops, and training sessions to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences among project management professionals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with peers, including the project, program and portfolio management community and the Group PMO.

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • University degree in Business, Engineering or adjacent field
  • PMI, AIPM or AXELOS Program and Project Management Qualification or Certification
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio management and/or enterprise PMO environment
  • Proven success in the development and implementation of enterprise PPPM frameworks, processes and tools in operational environments
  • Experience managing a community of practice or similar professional group that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills including hosting events, workshop design and facilitation, training and development.
  • Deep SAP PPM knowledge and experience
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Viva Engage knowledge.
  • Coaching and/or training experience (desirable)
  • Change management knowledge (desirable)
