Overview:
The Pop Health Coord, Sn (0.5 FTE) will work with Center for Advancing Rural Health Equity (CARHE) staff and leadership to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs, learning opportunities, and events to strengthen rural health equity capabilities with parnters. With minimal support from supervisors, coordinates multi-stakeholder internal and/or external partnerships and project teams to plan and implement trainings and events.
Responsibilities:
Leads the planning, development, and evaluation of training programs, events, and other learning opportunities to strengthen the capacity of CARHE partners and interested parties in competencies for health equity work in northern New England
Facilitates cross sector collaboration and partnership development to inform trainings and events
Leads training and event planning activities with internal and external parties
Researches and identifies evidence based and best practice content for health equity trainings and other learning opportunities
Contributes to supervision of student interns as needed
Advises on budget decisions related to trainings and events
Contributes to contracting and partnership processes for capacity building collaborations
Creates reports, one pagers, and other materials to communicate about health equity events and trainings and related topics
Contributes to CARHE communications strategies, including website content, newsletter development, social media, and others

Demonstrated cross-sector parntership/coalition development and coordination
Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and awareness of public health, health equity, and rural health issues
Experience coordinating trainings and events/events management
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong attention to detail
Self starter/ability to take initiative
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in related field.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, creativity, flexibility, diplomacy, Allyship and the ability to work as part of and lead teams with positive team culture.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects under pressure with minimal support, required.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Holds or obtains field-specific and dept. certifications within 24 mos.
Trained in basic facilitation/ leadership of teams, RBA, and DEIB/Equity/Allyship
