Pool Operator/Technician
1. A Pool Operator/Technician must be at least 18 years of age at date of hire
2.Required skills and qualifications: Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
Knowledge of pool chemistry and water testing procedures
Understanding of pool equipment operation and maintenance
Ability to identify and troubleshoot common pool issues
Strong customer service skills to interact with pool patrons
Basic swimming skills
Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks
3.Work environment: Primarily outdoors, working around a swimming pool
4.Water Chemistry Management: Regularly testing pool water for pH, chlorine levels, and other chemical parameters.
5..Pool Cleaning: Vacuuming pool floor and walls
6.Equipment Maintenance: Monitoring pool pumps, filters, and heating systems for proper functionality
7.Safety Enforcement: Enforcing pool rules and regulations for patrons
8.Responding to emergencies and providing first aid if necessary
9.Recordkeeping: Maintaining detailed logs of water chemistry readings, maintenance activities, and incidents and completing necessary reports
10.Holidays are mandatory as this position is seasonal. These holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day,
and Labor Day.
