Description

Social Video Editor & Content Producer (Poker)

Toronto, ON (onsite)

Company Overview:

Home of world Champion Daniel Negreanu, Winner of the best poker software 2021 and Guinness record holder for largest-ever online prize pool, GGPoker has taken the online poker world by storm. GGPoker launched in 2017, designed from the ground up by an experienced team of poker players who truly love the game.

From our humble beginnings, GGPoker has grown to a group of 700 people spanning the globe from our headquarters in Canada to our offices across the globe.

GGPoker holds the largest online poker market share globally, and we are looking to add talented and passionate individuals that will help us maintain being number one.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Social-First Video Editor & Content Producer to join our Organic Social team in Toronto. You will be responsible for crafting organic social content — editing footage, designing posts, and transforming moments from GGPoker and GGVegas into scroll-stopping visuals for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and Twitter.

You will also play a lead role in:

  • Production of documentary-style poker stories, involving planning, shooting, and collaborating on edits
  • Weekly livestream execution using OBS for key poker content broadcasts

This is a hands-on creative role built for someone who understands pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement — and can shift from editing timelines to filming documentary-style content with a camera in hand. It’s ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling in competitive environments (like poker, esports, or high-pressure games), and who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative team.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong portfolio of social-first video content, including both shortform and longform work
  • Experience creating content specifically for organic social, not just performance marketing or paid ads
  • Basic knowledge of poker is a big plus — you’re editing for players, and understanding the game helps you speak their language
  • Familiarity with AI creative tools that enhance workflow, such as text-to-audio sync, auto-captioning, or template automation
  • In-depth knowledge of organic social content best practices across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Hands-on experience with livestream software (OBS or similar) for weekly video broadcasts
  • Experience in documentary-style or character-driven video production, including interviews and narrative structuring
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to give and receive feedback in a fast-moving, collaborative, creative environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

Social Video Editor (Ongoing)

  • Edit engaging video content from gameplay, ambassadors, community highlights, and streamed events
  • Create highlight reels and longform edits capturing high-stakes drama and emotion
  • Design complementary social visuals including thumbnails, text overlays, and stat-driven graphics
  • Elevate videos with audio design, captions, zooms, transitions, and social-native effects
  • Collaborate with content strategists and social leads to ensure platform alignment

Content Producer – Documentary-Style Originals

  • Plan and produce original video projects focused on real players and real stories
  • Coordinate pre-production, conduct interviews, film solo on-location, and support post-production
  • Travel is required for on-location filming and interviews
  • Think: Drive to Survive or Full Swing — but for online poker

Livestream Broadcast Operator (Weekly)

  • Operate Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) for weekly poker livestreams
  • Manage overlays, transitions, and scene switching during live production
  • Troubleshoot and ensure stable, high-quality broadcast performance

Minimal Output Required Per Week:

  • 3-4 reels
  • 1-2 longforms
  • 2-3 photos
  • 1-2 text based
  • 1 livestream broadcast (3–4 hours long)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in video editing and social-first content creation
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with livestream tools like OBS or similar broadcasting platforms
  • Proven experience as a video producer, with ownership of planning and executing original filmed content (e.g., branded storytelling, documentary, or editorial video projects)
  • Experience with AI tools that assist editing (auto-captioning, text-to-audio, automation, etc.)
  • Strong narrative instincts and creative vision — from pre-production through post
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects
  • Confident communicator, comfortable directing on-camera talent and working independently on-location

Compensation:

  • Annual performance raise
  • Discretionary bonus up to 50% of salary
  • Flexible and competitive benefits after probation
  • Free parking or Presto Card
  • Endless snacks, coffee, tea, and beverages
  • Work with and learn from some of the most creative minds in global iGaming
