About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer / Mechatronic Engineer - BESS to lead the design, construction, and optimization of our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) production line. This role combines expertise in manufacturing engineering, mechatronics, automation, and project management, with a focus on PLC systems, robotics, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing large-scale production line builds, working collaboratively across teams, and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards in the energy storage industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, innovative professional with a passion for energy technology and a proven ability to lead complex technical projects to successful completion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the build, setup, and commissioning of the BESS production line, from initial design through to full operational capacity.
- Manage and coordinate teams of engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.
- Develop and integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components of BESS, including PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI interfaces.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing and automation techniques to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time during the build and optimization of the production line.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for production processes, equipment, technical specifications, and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control requirements throughout production.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, mechatronics, or automation.
- Proven experience leading large-scale production line builds, including hands-on expertise in Siemens PLC systems and SCADA systems.
- Experience with robotics systems, particularly in pick-and-place operations, and automated measuring equipment.
- Experience with process optimization techniques, including lean manufacturing, and conducting .
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
