Project Engineer I

Location: Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

We are looking for a Project Engineer to strengthen our multidisciplinary Maintenance team across sites in Leiden, The Hague, and Rotterdam.

Responsibilities:

• Act as point of contact for Instrumentation & Control (I&C) during projects and overhauls.
• Coordinate planning with other disciplines and prepare I&C work.
• Manage and supervise contractors with a focus on safety and quality.
• Create schedules, technical specifications, and quality plans.
• Advise on Electrical and I&C topics and organize materials and services.
• Monitor project execution regarding safety, environment, planning, and budget.
• Conduct quality checks and assess quotations and extra work claims.
• Support commissioning and operational testing of installations.

Requirements:

• Background in Measurement & Control Technology or related.
• 3+ years of experience in Process Automation.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs, and DCS systems.
• Experience with SAP work permits, TRA, and ITPs.
• Independent, communicative, quality-driven, flexible, and team-oriented.
• Commercial mindset and strong safety awareness.
• Proficient in Dutch and English.
