About the Role

My client are looking for a Data Platform & Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of their enterprise data platforms. Working with the Data Platform & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing cloud-based data infrastructure, implementing automation, and optimizing performance to support a scalable and resilient data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the reliability and performance of cloud-based data platforms.
• Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and platform performance.
• Ensure robust observability through logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions.
• Manage access controls, security configurations, and compliance within the data platform.
• Analyze system metrics to drive platform improvements and implement optimizations.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and standard methodologies to enhance our data stack.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience managing and optimizing data platforms in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong experience with dbt, Snowflake, and Python.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD standard processes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.).
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and data pipeline optimization.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
• Ability to collaborate multi-functionally.
