We’re supporting a world-leader in blockchain media and market analytics. With 500+ employees across the group, recent acquisitions have created a bunch of new projects, creating a need to expand their platform infrastructure team in Central London. They’ve just moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Oxford Circus, and are now looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join them.


Please note - this role requires a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.

This role is able to offer sponsorship for suitable candidates.


What will you do?

This position owns the design, implementation and maintenance of the business’ complex cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud (GCP). The team itself collaborates with multiple departments internally, so you’ll be involved in working with development, ops and security teams to define cloud architecture and rollout best practices for others. You’ll monitor infrastructure performance, identifying and fixing issues quickly, as well as automating processes where possible, introducing IaC tools like Terraform or Terragrunt. Cloud resource optimisation is paramount as they integrate into their parent business, so an eye for detail and quality documentation is essential.


What skills will you need?

  • Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably using GCP (or AWS with willingness to upskill.
  • Extensive knowledge of containerisation using Kubernetes/K8S or similar.
  • Strong DevSecOps mindset, advocate for automated deployments and CI/CD (currently Ansible but likely to change).
  • Well-versed in IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation or another tool.
  • Scripting & automation expertise, using Python/Bash.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud security practices.
  • Background in designing and leading cloud environments (compute, network, security, storage etc.).
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies would be useful.
