We're looking for a Platform Automation Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of infrastructure and code. This role is suited to someone who values clean automation, practical solutions, and the chance to work across a modern, mixed environment.
You’ll help improve and maintain systems that span virtual servers, cloud services, and, where needed, physical infrastructure. Whether you're writing Terraform modules, building reusable Ansible roles, or simplifying CI/CD workflows, you’ll play a key part in making our platforms more reliable, scalable, and efficient.
What you’ll actually do:
- Automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure — cloud, virtual, and occasionally physical.
- Work with GitLab, Rundeck, and Nexus/Artifactory to support development and deployment pipelines.
- Migrate containerised apps to Kubernetes in a structured, supportable way.
- Use Python to bridge the gaps where off-the-shelf tooling doesn’t go far enough.
- Help manage OS/kernel compatibility for performance-critical apps.
- Guide developers on infrastructure choices and ensure consistency across environments.
- Contribute to performance tuning, observability improvements, and tooling evolution.
What helps:
- Solid grounding in infrastructure as code especially with Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes, or the curiosity and drive to get there.
- Interest in performance tuning, automation strategy, or infrastructure at scale.
- A thoughtful, low-ego approach to collaboration and problem-solving.
This is a practical role with real scope to make things better not just theoretically, but in ways teams will notice. If you're into steady improvements, good tooling, and meaningful engineering work, we’d like to hear from you.
