The Platform Engineer develops, administers, supports, improves and optimises platforms that host applications, systems, programs and database protocols in support of end users' needs. He/She supports in building new platform features and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to allow flexible and scalable interactions across applications, systems, programs and databases. He tests platform prototypes and documents results. He identifies platform issues and performs root cause analysis. He performs regular updates and enhances existing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration efforts using Axway API Gateway and microservices-based architecture.
• Design, develop, and manage applications using Spring Boot, including database interactions and batch processing frameworks.
• Manage deployments and DevSecOps processes in OCP (OpenShift) and orchestrate through CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into sequence diagrams, technical specs, and implementation plans.
• Oversee transformation and upgrade activities for legacy systems and applications.
• Ensure platform health by integrating observability tools like Dynatrace and Splunk for proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Manage renewals of SSL certificates and PGP keys in a timely and secure manner.
• Maintain zero vulnerabilities in production systems through secure coding practices and regular audits.
• Implement and optimize solutions on AWS Cloud, ensuring network configuration and performance meet business SLAs.
• Mentor junior team members, review code, and ensure adherence to architecture standards and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and keep up with evolving technologies to meet future business needs.

Requirements

Tertiary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years in telecom or related domain with a deep understanding of OSS/BSS integration flows.

Proven experience in driving small-scale project transformations and platform upgrades.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with users, stakeholders, and technical teams.

Quick learner with a proactive mindset towards embracing new technologies and tools.

Axway API Gateway – Experience in design, deployment, and monitoring.

OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) – Expertise in container orchestration and deployment.

CI/CD Tools – Jenkins, Git, bitbucket, SonarQube, Nexus, etc.

Java, Spring Boot – Strong backend development experience.

Databases – Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases.

Batch Frameworks – Hands-on experience in Spring Batch or equivalent.

Observability Tools – Dynatrace, Splunk (setup, dashboarding, alerting).

AWS Cloud – Familiarity with EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and networking.

Security Management – SSL, PGP key management, OWASP practices.

Any one of the Agentic AI implementation practice is plus.
