Overview

The Plant Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflows, quality output, and on-time delivery. This role includes supervising staff, enforcing safety and operational standards, and managing equipment maintenance and inventory levels. The Supervisor collaborates across departments, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Pay: $60,000-$70,000 to start based on experience at time of offer.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm but may require addtional time based on business needs.

What You Can Expect When You Are Selected

Operations Management

  • Supervise daily production activities to meet quality and quantity targets.
  • Enforce operational procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Support production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.

Workforce Management

  • Assign tasks, manage team schedules, and provide direct supervision to production staff.
  • Train and mentor team members to maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with other departments.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor adherence to quality control processes to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in implementing corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Ensure operational alignment with company standards and customer requirements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote workplace safety by enforcing health and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct routine safety checks and address hazards proactively.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.

Equipment & Maintenance

  • Supervise the proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment, ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed and repairs are promptly addressed.
  • Collaborate with remote facilities management teams and other departments to align operations, resolve issues, and ensure the availability of tools and resources to minimize downtime.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee stock levels, ensuring accurate tracking and replenishment as needed.
  • Support inventory-related processes to meet production demands effectively.

On-Time Delivery Metrics

  • Monitor and improve delivery performance, ensuring efficiency in transportation and timely deliveries.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement enhancements.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and integrate relevant improvements into operations.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Associates or higher degree in Business Management/Administration or related field preferred.
