This Plant Controller will lead the team at their mid-sized location, one of their largest facilities with six figure revenue. The organization is seeking a proven manager with standard cost accounting experience for this key Plant Controller role.

The Plant Controller will oversee four staff members and all accounting activities across the division. This position is responsible for managing financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, , inventory and standard cost accounting. The Plant Controller will work closely with the Corporate Controller to drive financial & strategic planning, ensure compliance with accounting standards, own & support continuous improvement projects, and support the company's growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Of Plant Controller

• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Budgeting for plant driven by sales, a mix of pounds to be sold and variable is utilities and things like
• Cost Reports
• Own plant operational cost accounting environment.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reporting with variance analysis.. Drive requisite process improvements to renovate and modernize accounting processes and procedures. Mentor, develop, and manage the Accounting Team of four, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Qualifications desired for Plant Controller:
  
  

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or MBA designation preferred.

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting.

• Management experience of 2+ years.
• Plant level standard manufacturing cost accounting knowledge and experience.
