Pilot Tech II Tech Job Summary

We are seeking a Pilot tech II to assist with piloting, navigation and log keeping.

Pilot Tech II Responsibilities

• Adheres to mechanical/electrical principles to industry standards
• Reads schematics
• Does launch and recovery of ROV system
• Ensures that the ROV is checked before and after the dive in accordance with relevant pre and post dive check lists
• Performs system weekly and monthly maintenance
• Recognizes at all times whether it is safe for work to continue
• Operates within the established company HSE policies and Operating Standards
• Operates ROV system as directed by system supervisor/superintendent
• Ensures operations and data recording are carried out correctly
• Carries out planned maintenance and repairs as on ROV and associated equipment as required
• Works offshore in harsh weather environments on a rotation or call-out basis
• Repairs, maintains and operates the ROV umbilical cable handling system (winch and hydraulic power unit)
• Repairs, maintains the ROV hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Maintains the mechanical spares shipboard inventory
  
  

Pilot Tech II Position Requirements

• Electronic/electrical/mechanical background
• Holds a current valid Offshore Medical Certificate
• Holds a current certificate in an offshore survival course suitable for geographical area of work
• ROV experience
