Mercor is seeking candidates with an undergraduate degree in STEM to help one of the world's top AI labs improve their models’ scientific reasoning and aptitude by taking part in a two week long in-person wet-lab trial. This opportunity pays up to $21/hour (and we expect this is the rate most candidates will get offered).

You're a good fit if you:

• Have at least two years of undergrad experience and/or hold an undergraduate degree from a US university or research institute in a STEM domain (we cannot accept people with a Biology Degree right now)
• Do not hold (or are currently enrolled) in a STEM Graduate Degree Program.
• Have high attention to detail
• Meet one of the following two criteria:
• I) No previous wet-lab experience
• II) Experience in a chemistry lab, but not a biology lab
• Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Here are more details about the role:

• You will interface directly with prominent AI researchers at a top five lab in a live wet-lab setting in Boston, Massachusetts. Your work will help them improve their models.
• You need to be available to work 12 weeks part-time during a pre-specified period from early June to early September.
• You should be based in Boston, MA for the duration of the trial. We cannot cover your accommodation costs but may be able to cover reasonable transport.

With respect to pay and legal status:

• You will be legally classified as a contractor for the AI lab.

Screening Process:
