Physical Therapist PRN Home Health Job description: We seek a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team in Garland, TX. As a PRN PT, you will evaluate the patients and provide physical therapy services. We are looking for experienced PTs as well as new grads. Essential duties and responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Evaluate patients and devise effective treatment plans aligned with their medical status, therapy evaluations, and medical referrals while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Apply therapeutic techniques, ensuring proper body mechanics, safe patient handling, and efficient use of equipment. Participate in clinic maintenance protocols and collaborate with other hospital departments for comprehensive patient care. Report patient-care concerns, equipment needs, and maintenance requirements to the Manager, also cosigning students' notes. Coordinate patient treatment with healthcare professionals and maintain records like daily attendance, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries. Plan individual patient schedules, charging for treatments following approved procedures. Adhere to department and hospital Policies and procedures, fostering positive relationships within and between departments. Qualifications/Skills: Master’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. 1 or more years as a licensed physical therapist is preferred. New graduate acceptable. Licensed in the State of Texas. American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification is required.
