Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and Develop: Lead the design and development of robust PHP applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in agile ceremonies—stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives—to drive continuous improvement.
• Code Quality: Implement and advocate for coding standards, perform code reviews, and ensure high test coverage.
• Problem-Solving: Analyze requirements, identify potential issues, and develop innovative solutions.
• Stay Current: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance our development processes.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional PHP development experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of BigCommerce, Wordpress (Elementor), Unbounce and Shopify is necessary.
• Database Skills: Strong experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design.
• Front-End Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js or React is a plus.
• Agile Mindset: Hands-on experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA or Trello.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git and collaborative workflows (GitFlow).
• Testing: Experience with automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Behat).
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to finding solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
