Responsibilities

• Offer solutions for given feature descriptions, including impact analysis on existing code and roll-out strategies.
• Help the team understand technical impacts and approaches to development.
• Write and review code that is focused on performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Take ownership of the database structure to have an optimized data structure.
• Review the code/technical approach of team members and provide input constructively.
• Follow and specify coding guidelines, incorporate code review comments, and resolve bugs.
• Write restful APIs for assigned features in CodeIgniter.
• Working closely with reporting leads to inculcating a growing/learning environment.
• Create branching/merging, Github, CI/CD guidelines, and best practices.
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of PHP coding experience in CodeIgniter, and Laravel.
• Good Knowledge of MySQL (queries, joins, triggers).
• Knowledge of git, and branching.
• Able to write RESTful APIs.
• Providing regular updates to PM.
• Able to work within the provided timeframes, review others' work, and offer solutions and best practices.
• Critically review code, analyze the impact, offer improvements, and maintain coding guidelines.
• Offer multiple solutions and examine trade-offs of solutions.
• Exposure to nginx, writing technical documentation, including solution approaches and API documentation.
• Knowledge of Redis, or other in-memory databases.
• Exposure to live projects, web apps with medium complexity, and maintenance of code on production.
• Knowledge of coding guidelines.
