Bluegrass Digital is a leading digital production agency, working with both South African and International client accounts. We are looking for a mature PHP / Frontend web developer to join us. You will be energetic; passionate about using the latest technologies; and eager to grow your skills by working complex responsive website projects, Content Management Platforms (Wordpress, Drupal), HTML5 apps (Ionic, Cordova, ReactNative), API integrations and Facebook apps. You will work on some big brand names, some small brand names, build some cool projects and have fun all the way giving you exposure to the latest technologies being used on the web today.

Key Skills

• Minimum of 4+ years' experience in web development
• PHP / MySQL / SQLite / MongoDB
• Content Management Systems (WordPress & Drupal)
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (or Sketch)
• Experience slicing PSD’s to a very high standard and accuracy
• HTML5 / XHTML
• CSS / CSS3
• Scss / LESS (CSS Pre-processors)
• JavaScript (AngularJS, JQuery)
• Grunt/Gulp
• Responsive Frameworks (Bootstrap, ZURB Foundation)
• Excellent understanding of grid frameworks
• HTML5 Mobile apps experience (Cordova Phonegap)
• AJAX
• JSON / REST
• Performance optimisation techniques
• Source control versioning (i.e Mercurial, Git, Bitbucket)
• Good understanding of UX and ability to challenge UX Wireframe & Design thinking where required

• Facebook developer knowledge i.e. Facebook Connect, JS SDK, Developer API
