Purpose
The Pharmacy Coordinator role supports the Pharmacy Team. As the primary Pharmacy scheduler, you will schedule Pharmacists to work in store locations within a specific geographical area and enter the corresponding payroll information.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Schedule Pharmacists to work in store locations, and flu clinics within the budgeted payroll in a
specific geographical area, including travel arrangements.
* Assist DPMs to fill schedule vacancies that occur when Pharmacists are sick, on vacation, or
when there is an emergency.
* Input hours worked and sick, birthday, anniversary, holiday, and personal hours taken by
Pharmacists into the payroll system on a biweekly basis.
* Remain knowledgeable of federal and state employment laws and union rules to ensure all
schedule and payroll information complies.
* Schedule within each store labor plan hours, as well as monitor overtime, premium and travel
pay.
* Process preemployment and promotion screening, coordinating first day of hire, order coats
and process termination in a timely process.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with Pharmacists in the Region.
* Access personnel records as required while maintaining the confidentiality of all information.
* Review and implement approved Pharmacist vacation requests, as applicable.
* Schedule annual CPR classes.
* Assist with payroll reconciliation and process E-Forms
* Assist with special projects as needed/directed.
Job Requirements
Relevant Experience, Education, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Organizational qualities, including but not limited to; filing, word
processing, preparing documents, and producing reports.
* Proficient in Microsoft Applications preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Physical Environment
* Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment, other work may include
store locations.
* May sit for extended periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
* May use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday.
* Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
* Position requires travel up to 20 percent of time.
