Summary

Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an opening for a Personal Lines Support in our Houston, TX office.

Position Summary: The Personal Lines Support Representative is responsible for assisting Personal Lines with administrative tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Tasks:

  • Assist customers with service requests by phone and email, process policy changes, assist with billing and claims
  • Provide proof of insurance
  • Identify opportunities to engage with customer
  • Enthusiastically engage in company culture and corporate goals
  • Identify complex requests and triage to designated Account Manager or carrier
  • Maintain updated customer file including policy information, correspondence, and contact information
  • Support Account Manager with processing changes and other tasks in the system
  • Various other clerical tasks as instructed

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Systems:

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
  • Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
  • Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions
