The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish-speaking), professional, articulate, and experienced in managing litigation matters in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional support. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and legal staff in managing personal injury cases effectively. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and settlement demands. Maintain and organize case files, both electronically and physically. Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other relevant parties. Schedule depositions, hearings, and appointments, and manage attorneys’ calendars. Conduct legal research and gather necessary documentation to support cases. Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other agencies. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and phone calls related to cases. Track case progress and deadlines to ensure timely filings and responses. Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witnesses. Assist with discoveries and discovery response preparations. Assist with closing preparations, including handling liens, reductions, and other necessary documentation. Perform other administrative and clerical tasks as needed. Skills: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law. Associate’s degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience preferred. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software. Experience in Neos is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of personal injury law and legal procedures is a plus. Spanish fluency is required.
