The Opportunity

The purpose of the PeopleSoft DBA/Administrator role is to perform application and Oracle database maintenance with a primary focus on PeopleSoft HCM, Absence Management & Global Payroll.

• Take lead on technical areas related to the PS Admin space
• Ownership of task assignments and customer issues
• Performs technical tasks including maintenance, upgrades, updates, and troubleshooting related to the PS Admin space
• Maintain an effective relationship with customers, team members – technical, infrastructure, and functional
• Works well in a managed environment according to process
• Communicates clearly and effectively with customers, team members
• Builds confidence and trust with customers

Desired Experience

• 6 years’ experience as PeopleSoft DBA / Administrator
• Understanding of PeopleSoft 3-tier Architecture
• Experience in SQL/Peoplesoft Application performance tuning
• PeopleTools Upgrades: Creating a strategy based on a plan, executing the strategy, retrofit, testing, performance testing
• High level of experience in the PS Admin space: Web server , Weblogic (configuration), Apps server, Tuxedo, Integration, Gateway, PS Tools, Batch servers, PS Security (ADFS/ audit/ advisory), Elasticsearch or Secure Enterprise Search (SES) with PeopleSoft, Load Balancing (F5 and Webserver – Appserver), Batch Server and Process scheduler, Change Assistant
• Preferred some understanding in Oracle Database administration: Partitioning, Database Performance Tuning, RMAN Backup/Recovery, Security (CPU patches/audit), DR, Upgrades, Cloning
• Experience in a PeopleSoft HCM, Absence Management & Global Payroll highly desirable
