Duties and Responsibilities: Tends machine that presses ingredients into feed pellets for poultry and stock feed: Turns steam valves to regulate temperature of machine. Observes ammeter and turns valves to regulate flow of material to machine. Adjust nozzles to regulate flow of molasses into ingredients and turn steam valves to regulate temperature of molasses. Adjust flow of air to cool pellets in cooler. tend bucket elevator equipment to transfer pellets to storage. adjust rollers to crush pelletized feed into crumbles. mix poultry or stock feed preparatory to pelletizing. Qualifications: Knowledge of safety requirements. Good communication skills. Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow. Basic computer knowledge. Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout. Thorough understanding of Pelleting procedures Knowledge of Feed & Food Safety Plan Can start immediately.
