As a Pediatric Medical Assistant , you will be a member of the interdisciplinary care team at Greater Seacoast Community Health where you will work in a team oriented environment. Our providers love teaching, so you will learn more in-depth procedures and can be trained in specialties such as prenatal, pediatric and medication-assisted recovery. We have a track record of helping Medical Assistants advance in their careers where several of our MAs have gone on to become nurses! You will also be eligible for a Sign On Bonus. This position will be scheduled to work 40 hours per week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday in our Somersworth office. This position is a robust opportunity to support a full Pediatric panel split between two full-time Pediatricians. Job Duties: Provides services for Pediatrics Patients. Services include chaperoning, collecting specimens and taking vital signs. Facilities timely movement of Prenatal Patients from waiting area into exam room to see the provider as well as the timely completion of visit. Prepares exam rooms for Pediatric Patient visits. Maintains supplies and equipment for Pediatric Patient services. Supports the patient in improving access to health resources and social services. Collaborates with all members of the care team to coordinate and manage care for Pediatric Patients and families. Performs limited health screening procedures under the direction of the provider, including lab procedures. Participates in preparing Pediatric Patient charts. As directed by the provider, assists with the Pediatric Patient intake and discharge procedures. Qualifications: Education/Certification: M.A. Certification and/or two-year Associate's Degree preferred. Experience: Two years’ experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. Other: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Experience in an Pediatrics setting is preferred, but not required. If no past experience in Pediatrics, an interest in learning is required!
