Job Description:

The Payroll & HR Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle payroll processing for multiple employee groups and will also assist with various HR tasks, including benefits administration, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 250 employees across different business units.
• Handle weekly payroll for a small group of field technicians.
• Maintain accurate employee time records using electronic and manual systems.
• Review payroll for accuracy prior to final submission.
• Coordinate direct deposit and check distribution.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile data using Paychex or similar systems.
• Support benefit enrollment, eligibility tracking, and questions related to HSA and 401(k).
• Assist with compliance tasks including I-9 audits and benefit reporting.
• Process monthly employee expenses and stipends (e.g., car allowances).
• Reconcile year-end documentation including W-2s and quarterly reports.
• Provide employee support on payroll and HR system access issues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in payroll processing and HR support.
• Knowledge of payroll systems, must have Paychex.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and HR compliance tasks.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
