Hotels Unlimited has an exciting opening to join our Payroll and Human Resources team in the corporate offices located near Exit 8 of the New Jersey Turnpike. Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To
Process and record payroll for multiple properties
Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports prior to posting into the accounting software.
Reconcile quarterly and year-end PR tax reporting.
Managing and processing pre-hire and onboarding paperwork for employees
Organizing and maintaining employee records
Organizing and maintaining records for investigations and claims
Perform tasks as assigned by members of the management staff.
Maintain and enforce policies and procedures for internal control compliance.
Requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of standard payroll practices and procedures.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
Strong writing skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working within the hospitality industry and with multiple companies (strong plus).
Prior hotel/restaurant experience and understanding of tips/service charge declarations, sharing, paid outs, etc. (strong plus).
Experience with computerized accounting software (strong plus).
Experience with Paylocity, or similar payroll processing software (strong plus).
Must be punctual, responsible, dependable and reliable.
Ability to effortlessly switch gears at a moment’s notice and wear many hats.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a high paced, dynamic environment.
Willingness to work as part of a team and assist co-workers when required.
Experience is preferred but will train motivated candidates who possess the drive and determination to succeed!
