Description
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to support payroll operations in the higher education sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.
Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payroll entries with precision and accuracy.
- Review and validate employee timesheets to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Generate and analyze basic payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to align payroll data with financial records.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee inquiries promptly.
- Utilize Paycom and other payroll systems effectively to manage data entry and reporting.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits related to payroll.
- Support periodic audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
Requirements
- Proficiency in payroll software, such as Paycom, and accounting systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, benefit functions, and accounting principles.
- Experience with auditing practices and the ability to ensure compliance.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills for addressing employee inquiries and collaborating with teams.
- Familiarity with time-tracking systems, such as About Time, is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
