We are a dynamic multifaceted and fast paced construction company providing construction services throughout northwestern Ontario. We are currently seeking experienced candidates for Payroll Administration and Accounts Receivable and Payable Assistant. This is a full time permanent career position with growth opportunity.

Job Type: This position is a Full time, permanent position, following a 3 month probation period.

The right candidate will be:
a highly motivated, detail orientated individual with a minimum of 3 years of current payroll/ accounting experience.
Post secondary education
Previous accounting experience in the construction industry would be preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Strong communication and computer skills
Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Experience with SAGE50 Accounting software an asset
PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR / ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE/PAYABLE ASSISTANT – Full Description
Reporting to the company Controller and Owner, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Processing of biweekly payroll
Reconcile payroll documentation and record balance changes
Prepare all payroll entries
Review and verify payroll documentation with input
Sort, batch and key timesheets
Prepare EFT payroll batches and manual cheques if required
Respond to employee enquiries
Generate, review, prepare and coordinate payroll related reports
Ensure compliance with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency
Prepare records of employment
Maintain employee master files, updating with changes as required
Prepare remittances, source deductions and EHT
Maintain and prepare various reports and lists, vacation pay etc.
Accounts Receivable – create customer invoices
Receive customer payments using various methods
Work diligently to keep delinquent accounts to very minimum, and contact delinquent accounts for payment
Other duties as required – order office supplies, type up forms, letters and other projects as required.
Accounts Payable – verify, code, post and process vendor invoices with accuracy
Issue payments to company’s vendors
Answer telephone and emails and assistance with general office administration
Organization skills and priority management of workload is a must
Must be able to work with minimal to no supervision

Hourly Rate: $26 to $32/hour dependent upon experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
