Summary

Summary The Payment Processor will post payments and follow posting processes using collection software and other office equipment Essential Functions Post daily payments timely, accurately and productively to the proper accounts Post adjustments as instructed Record insufficient funds to customer accounts Run daily reports Process inactive checks for clients Deposit payments to bank Perform payment traces for auditing Keep up-to-date knowledge, understanding, and compliance with governmental laws and regulations, with functional area, and with Company policies and procedures Maintain regular attendance and timeliness which are required due to the production-based nature of the business and client requirements Provide proactive feedback to management concerning potential problems and recommendations for improvement. Recommend process improvements for efficiencies and best practices Adhere to all Company, Client and Consumer confidentiality and security policies and procedures Non-Essential Functions Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities/Accountabilities This position does not require Supervisory Responsibilities/Accountabilities Requirements High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate Must be familiar with basic computer functions Must possess proven acceptable and accurate data entry skills General knowledge of Microsoft Office Accurately entering information into Excel spreadsheets and proprietary accounting programs Ability to communicate with internal and external customers in a pleasant manner Ability to use good judgement, prioritize, maintain organization and pay attention to detail Working Conditions Work is generally performed within an indoor office environment utilizing standard office equipment Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Extensive use of keyboards and computers Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the department’s scheduled hours and guidelines. Full-time employees must maintain continuous full-time employment status.
