Job Description: Full-time onsite. Hours are Monday-Friday.
The Payment Processor is responsible for the daily processing of animal registration applications and payments for multiple clients with varied rules and fee structures.
Responsibilities:
Receives and opens payment envelopes with enclosed applications and documents.
Examines contents of envelope for correct payment and documents by following a specific set of procedures.
Notes payment information and problem codes on registration application to prepare items for data entry.
Screens checks for correct payee, signature, and legal line matching the dollar amount.
Sorts registration applications and payments, creates batches in database, and creates batch cover sheets.
Prepares return letters for items that cannot be accepted
Updates pet statuses in database.
Perform other duties as required
Skills/Qualifications:
Must be detail-oriented and highly focused with strong analytical skills. Able to make decisions regarding processing procedures according to clients’ guidelines. Able to research, recognize valid documents, and problem solve. Works well with others.
Effectively meet or exceed productivity goals. Type 30 wpm or greater. Must be able to follow detailed instructions and process high volume, error free, on a consistent basis. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
