About the Role

As a Payment Platform Engineer / Architect at FintechOS, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient payment orchestration solutions. You will work on integrating payment systems with financial networks and providers, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Your contributions will help enhance our fintech platform, enabling seamless digital payment experiences for our customers.

This role requires strong technical expertise in payment infrastructure, transaction security, and compliance, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and development teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and develop a scalable and secure payment orchestration architecture to efficiently process financial transactions.
• Integrate payment systems with multiple financial networks and providers, ensuring seamless and secure transaction processing.
• Implement robust security measures, including encryption, tokenization, fraud detection, and secure authentication protocols.
• Understanding industry regulations such as PSD2, PCI-DSS, ISO 20022, and other payment security standards.
• Develop transaction monitoring mechanisms to detect fraud, anomalies, and ensure real-time risk assessment.
• Optimize payment flows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency, ensuring low-latency processing.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver innovative payment solutions that enhance the FintechOS platform.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and best practices for payment system integration and security.
• Conduct regular performance testing, troubleshooting, and optimizations to maintain system integrity and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with payment platforms and APIs, such as Stripe, GoCardless, Visa, Mastercard, or other payment processors.
• Strong development skills with Java, Apache Camel, Quarkus.io, or similar frameworks for enterprise application development.
• Deep understanding of payment gateways, transaction processing, and digital wallets.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platforms is highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge of security protocols, encryption standards, and compliance regulations in the payments industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
