About the Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity available for a highly motivated and customer-focused Patient Admissions Officer to join our team on a full-time basis at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane. This role will entail coordinating the preadmissions of patients for hospital visits and on other days collecting, reviewing and reporting on patient admissions data. You will bring your passion to the position where you will work alongside various specialities within the Hospital.

A snapshot of your duties would include:

  • patient referral and booking coordination, including rescheduling of appointments
  • prepare and collate patient information for admitting clinical team
  • pre-admit patients and perform appropriate checks including health fund and workers compensation
  • ensuring accurate and timely reporting to regulatory bodies, including compiling and reviewing administrative data to meet reporting extraction requirements and regulatory deadlines.

  • Ability to work on permanent full-time basis
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with others quickly.
  • Experience coordinating hospital pre-admission
  • Knowledge of private health funds, conducting health fund checks and IFC
  • High level attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • A can-do, adaptable, resilient approach with a positive attitude
