Summary
Job Responsibilities
Greet patients and family members, obtaining and verifying demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information.
Complete the end-to-end process of patient registration, including the collection of patient signatures and registration documents.
Conduct insurance eligibility and benefit verification, referral/authorization, and provide financial education on designated accounts.
Calculate and collect patient liabilities such as co-payments, deductibles, and deposits at the time of service.
Refer cases to financial counseling for follow-up and consultation as needed.
Enhance the patient experience through all interactions, demonstrating knowledge of our health system and service offerings.
Support the implementation of programs, policies, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
Maintain positive work relationships with team members and ensure compliance with cross-team responsibilities.
Authenticate patient identity throughout all processes and maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
At least 1 year of recent relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of patient access, financial counseling, and insurance/medical terminology.
Proficiency in multiple computer systems, including patient registration/accounting systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a diverse environment while maintaining confidentiality.
