Summary

The Parts & Service Sales Representative - Crushing is responsible to grow parts and service sales within a targeted group of customers. They are the key technical sales aggregate specialist, that can explain Toromont’s value proposition and offer a suite of products to assist customers in driving the lowest cost per ton of aggregate produced.

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
  • Promote and increase crushing parts sales, exchange components and provide customer support to secure agreements
  • Assist in building marketing/prospecting plans and closing strategies for new business
  • Conduct presentations to promote Crushing parts and service through our service facilities
  • Maintain a weekly call plan and manage customer contact through Toromont’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with customers to reduce the operating cost of their Crushing fleet through Repair before Failure, Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance (Planned Component Replacement and Contamination Control)
  • Collaborate with respective MSRs and ISRs to promote a team selling approach
  • Develop and implement a yearly territory plan aligned with regional and Corporate objectives
  • Keep customers current on new products and offerings from all Crushing Product Lines
  • Monitor any competitive literature or advertising to ensure our customers receive the fairest price possible

Must-haves for this role:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Heavy Equipment or Aggregate industries
  • Customer centric with solid understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment repair options and the effects on customer's business/downtime
  • Excellent communication, relationship building/management and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse cross functional groups
  • Proven sales and financial acumen with the ability to grow and develop in sales to support Toromont Crushing strategies
  • Self-directed, self-starter and flexible team player with initiative and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Effective time-management and planning skills with a sense of urgency
  • Adaptable to multiple and often changing schedules and priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and other customer based systems
