Summary

Job Summary

The Parts and Customer Support Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service and technical support to customers by assisting with order placement, quoting, parts identification, and product delivery coordination. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comprehensive parts knowledge. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience working with automotive, diesel, or heavy-duty parts in a customer service or technical support capacity.


Key Responsibilities


  • Communicate with customers via phone and email to assist with orders, quotes, returns, and product inquiries
  • Accurately identify and quote parts based on customer needs and technical specifications
  • Work with vendors to check availability, pricing, lead times, and obtain special quotes
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints using established procedures and technical knowledge
  • Collaborate with warehouse and inventory control teams to ensure accurate fulfillment and timely delivery
  • Support inventory management by identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Operate in compliance with Alliant Power's Quality Management System
  • Assist coworkers and other departments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide feedback on system/process improvements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years experience in a parts-related role (automotive, diesel, or heavy-duty industries required). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service or sales experience preferred. Strong technical knowledge of parts and components related to engine repair. Proficient in Microsoft Office and accurate data entry. Highly organized with strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
