About The Partnerships & Operations Manager Role

We’re looking for an outstandingly tenacious, innovative, and relentless Partnerships Manager to join Float; a team that’s building the modern financial institution in Canada. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape Float's future by establishing and expanding our SMB partnerships channel. You will play a key role in increasing Float's reach and impact within the Canadian market by developing strategic relationships with accounting firms, finance professionals, venture capital firms, and other key partners.

As The Partnerships & Operations Manager At Float

  • Partnerships Manager for Customer Acquisition
    • Drive new customer acquisition through SMB partnerships, ensuring performance aligns with CAC targets.
    • Identify, negotiate, and activate new partnership opportunities to expand Float’s reach and impact.
  • Performance Reporting
    • Regularly report to the leadership team on progress toward acquisition targets, partnership performance metrics, and CAC optimization.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance partnership effectiveness.
  • Accounting Firms & Bookkeeper Relationships
    • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with accounting firms and bookkeepers to create a consistent flow of new active customers.
    • Develop co-marketing strategies, training programs, and other collaborative initiatives to increase partner engagement.
  • Ecosystem Partnerships
    • Develop and scale a channel of ecosystem partners, including accounting and finance apps or vertical-specific distribution partners, to boost Float’s visibility and drive SMB adoption.
    • Establish joint value propositions and strategic integrations that enhance Float’s product offering and appeal.
You’ll Be Great In This Role If

  • You’ve got the experience. To be successful in this role, we’re looking for 3-5+ years of experience in partnerships within the fastest-growing startups. You also have:
    • Experience in developing Growth strategies from 0 to 1 and growing them to scale.
    • Experience owning and reporting against acquisition or revenue targets.
  • You’re analytical and data-driven. You’re proficient with data analytics with an ability to draw key insights from both quantitative and qualitative data. You leverage tools to inform strategies, understanding customer needs, market trends, and growth opportunities. You possess a strong attention to detail; diving into the weeds with your team and picking up on the seemingly small, yet important, details.
  • You are a community builder. You enjoy the process of building networks and communities around your work. You are well connected in the finance, VC, or accounting industry in Canada.
  • No task is too small. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty to truth seek and drive outcomes for the business.
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity. You know where we need to go, but recognize there won't always be a straight path to get there. You’re scrappy and enjoy finding creative ways to work through obstacles.
  • You’re an owner. You take complete ownership and accountability of delivery and outcomes. As the pipeline owner, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your independence, initiative, and resourcefulness to hit and exceed your goals. You thrive in an environment that values self-direction and empowers you to take ownership of your work.
  • You are an exceptional communicator. You are a strong cross-functional communicator. You possess astute influencing skills, and you have the ability to bring multiple stakeholders together and problem-solve between various groups.
