Summary

Job Title: Program and Operations Coordinator (Part-Time)

Reports to: Executive Director

Location: Richmond, VA (On-site)

Schedule: 15–20 hours per week

Compensation: $16 -$18 per hour based on experience


Position Summary:

Dress for Success Central Virginia is seeking a passionate, organized, and mission-driven Program and Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our programs and office. This part-time role will be responsible for coordinating the suiting program, supporting the Career Center, and managing key administrative tasks that keep our boutique and organization running smoothly.


Key Responsibilities:

Suiting Program Coordination

  • Schedule and manage client suiting appointments
  • Ensure the boutique is clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Support and supervise volunteers assisting with client services
  • Maintain accurate client service records and provide excellent customer service

Career Center Support

  • Assist with scheduling and promoting Career Center workshops and one-on-one sessions
  • Provide logistical support for facilitators and clients (materials, reminders, follow-ups)
  • Maintain attendance records and help track client progress/outcomes

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Respond to general inquiries via phone and email
  • Manage appointment confirmations and follow-ups
  • Assist with donation intake coordination and inventory management
  • Maintain organization of files, supplies, and client materials
  • Support the Executive Director with data entry, reporting, and special projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a small, fast-paced nonprofit environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic database usage
  • Passion for women’s empowerment and the mission of Dress for Success
  • Previous experience in customer service, social services, or nonprofit administration preferred


Working Conditions:

  • On-site role at the Dress for Success Central Virginia boutique and office
  • Primary hours: Monday – Thursday 10 AM – 3 PM
  • Light physical activity required (lifting up to 25 lbs, sorting clothing donations, setting up for events)
