Overview Of Position

FEDITC is seeking a Part-Time Personnel Security Specialist to work at San Antonio Corporate office Hybrid Remote. This role is designed for a cleared professional who brings experience in the Industrial Security field, preferably within a Federal Government contracting environment. The position is part-time (20 hours per week), working Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day. Work is anticipated to be performed onsite or in a hybrid capacity depending on project needs. A United States Citizenship and an active TS DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the FSO with personnel security activities including clearance processing, periodic reinvestigations, and visit requests.
  • Manage and maintain security documentation and databases in accordance with NISPOM and company policies.
  • Navigate and utilize SharePoint to retrieve, post, and organize documentation.
  • Maintain and update tracking logs and reports using Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Communicate with internal personnel and external government representatives regarding clearance status and requirements.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in inspections or audits from DCSA or other government entities.
  • Maintain records of training, briefings, and debriefings in accordance with compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting an industrial security program within a Federal Government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with DCSA systems, including DISS and NISS.
  • Exposure to or working knowledge of NISPOM requirements and security policy implementation.

Experience/Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in personnel security or a related security support role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Basic familiarity with SharePoint navigation and file management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.

Certifications

  • Completion of CDSE security-related training courses is a plus.

Clearance

  • Active TS clearance is required
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
