Job Description

This part-time position will work closely with a small, friendly staff of medical and research professionals to co-ordinate patient visits and care, schedule appointments, and organize necessary meetings and schedule for Foundation staff. They will also perform routine laboratory duties as well as assist in research projects and organizational tasks. This position should have excellent organizational skills, a willingness to develop and maintain systems for sensitive data retrieval, have office and laboratory experience, have extensive patient care experience, and be able to work with a busy team on a day to day basis to get projects and task accomplished. They will be also be responsible for billing and follow up on patient accounts, and must have an excellent understanding of accounting practices and procedures. This position may help with fundraising, other research projects, and related office tasks.
This is a part time position (15-20 hrs per week), hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:15AM-2:15PM. Pay is hourly and based on experience ($18-$26 per hour). Applicant Requirements:
*Phlebotomy experience a plus*
*Nursing experience a plus*
BS in Biology or related field of study
Experienced laboratory technician
Outstanding Office Skills And Experience
Strong communication skills
Macintosh Computer literacy: email, word processing, data entry, internet searches. Filemaker Pro experience a must.
Ability to work independently
Outstanding patient care skills
Ability to follow instructions specifically
Understanding of patient confidentiality
