Genera l Description:

The Sr. Human Resources Generalist provides a wide variety of both Complex and routine administrative services.  Performs senior level Human Resources related duties and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the functional areas: compensation, employee relations, recruiting, training, compliance, HRIS, human resource metrics, and rewards and retention.

Specific Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Administrative Functions:


    • Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Environmental Health and Safety procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in line with the company’s objectives and policies at all times.
    • Manages all administrative tasks for employee onboarding, new hire orientation, required training, and support. Ensures the completed reports on backgrounds, drug – screening and E-verifications.
    • Conducts employee exit interviews, provides required documents. Coordinates with payroll to process final paycheck.
    • Explains and provides information on employee benefits, programs, and education.
    • Participates in development of department goals and metrics and executes to plan.
    • Administers EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
    • Maintains HRIS timely and ensure 100% accuracy to maintain integrity of data and reports.
    • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
    • Participates in development of department goals and metrics and executes to plan
    • Facilitates HR processes and operations programs to ensure ethical, fair, and consistent approach.
    • Creates and develops model for sustaining positive employee relations and positive culture building.
    • Supports the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development.
      • Handles Confidential information regarding

  • Employee Relations Functions:
    • Represent KDC-One Thibiant as a visible, approachable, and professional HR Partner. 
    • Assists both employees and management with work-related personal concerns requiring resolution to facilitate maximum engagement and both individual and team productivity, with special attention to KDC-One Thibiant relevant policies
    • Provides counseling and direction to employees, facilitates communication, and helps to resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement
    • Provides counsel and support to managers/supervisors on issues of company/HR policy application, production operation Human Resource needs and provides HR services to team members.
    • Practices strong engagement with all team members including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect
    • Works with operations to resolve employee relations issues. Investigates, counsels, and assists in resolving disputes.
    • Develops proactive communications, employee relations/recognition and appreciation programs.
    • Conducts ER investigations, analyze organizational health issues, and work in partnership with the HR Manager to develop and execute plans to address problem areas
    • Provides guidance on employment related issues (such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, diversity, corrective action, and progressive discipline) to operations leadership
    • Monitors FMLA and other leaves




  • Physical Requirements:

    • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
    • Capable of standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
    • Occasionally walking between buildings.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management (BSHRM) is preferred.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP certifications is preferred.
    • Minimum 5+ years’ Human Resources role in Consumer Products; preferably in cosmetics process manufacturing or an FDA regulated industry.
    • Knowledge of Federal & California Employment Law
    • Experience with Ceridian HRIS Administration is a plus
    • Bilingual is a plus
    • Required Advanced reporting, designing and data analytic skills. Strong math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
    • Advance PC Knowledge i.e. MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
    • Demonstration of continual education. Attends seminars or reads training materials for continuing education and shows initiative in learning industry trends.
    • Ability to lead, thinks strategically, set, and achieve objectives, and influence organizational change. Strong time-management, organizational, planning people and leadership skills.
    • Constantly work to improve processes and consistently reviews all existing procedures for possible change, maintains and expands technical knowledge. Makes suggestions for improvements
    • Strong English communications skills: speaking, reading, and writing. Ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly with Management and personnel and interpersonal relationships with employees at all levels.
    • Willingness to participate in continuous process improvement, innovation, and elimination of Non-value-added tasks.
    • Demonstration of a sense of urgency in achieving goals, contributing to business objectives, and responding to company needs.
    • Teamwork: Build and sustain cooperative working relationships and has strong leadership skills and ability and support of and participation in teams, demonstrating willingness to contribute to the success of Team objectives.
    • Motivating, recognizing, and encouraging achievements and contributions of people with diverse backgrounds.
    • Good attendance record. Flexibility to work special schedules as required satisfying job requirements
    • Self-Management and Good time-management skills displays initiative, effort excellent organizational and planning skills, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
    • Achieving thoroughness and accuracy in completing multiple prioritized projects.
    • Problem Solving: Identify options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.
