Unlike other mobile enrichment companies Beat Box Dance Academy focuses solely on hip-hop education. We are seeking an upbeat, energetic, patient, and creative person to represent our company who desires a career in teaching dance to children. Our students not only learn authentic old school and new school movements, they learn how to work in teams and the importance of community. We give children the tools to create their own performances! Ideal candidate will have the above as well as; excellent communication skills with both adults and kids, highly organized-highly responsible, responds to emails or texts within 24 hours or less, ability to work independently, extreme professionalism, fun, outgoing personality, and passion for dance and children. What We Are Looking For To hire a dance instructor in the Hayward school areas beginning mid -late August. *Part-Time position is for 1 Session with the opportunity to continue with additional sessions based on performance. You will start with 1-3 class a week. Classes are generally 1-2 hr in length. Attributes Of A BBDA Instructor Integral Dependable Punctual (arrive early) Creative Positive Enthusiastic Problem Solver Ideal Candidate 1.Able to teach Old School Hip-Hop * Breakdancing (Basic footwork and beginning floor work) *Popping and Locking * House *Grooves 2. Must be proficient in New School moves 3. Must be able to commit to entire school session (7-10 weeks in length) and be available between 3pm- 6pm, Monday-Friday. 4. Must have at least 2 years experience teaching hip hop dance to children ages 6-13 5. Have reliable transportation 6. Current Auto car insurance 7. 18 years or older 8. Ability to manage classes of 12-20 students 9. Must be ok with getting finger printed for background check 10. Have a portable speaker 11. Independent Contractor Classification **NOTE** Industry Dancers We understand the industry and that many dancers are trying to book that next gig however, because we work with schools, CONSISTENCY and RELIABILITY are imperative.
