Overview

As a Pallet Sorter Machine Operator is responsible for sorting pallets to grade using a SMETCO 300 series pallet sorter. The Machine Operator is responsible to inspect the quality of all pallets and assign a grade, while removing all trash and debris.

Hourly Pay:Â

$16.00/hr.

Shift(s):Â

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30pm - 2:00am

4th shift: Friday - Sunday 5pm to 5am

What You'll Do

• Hand stack pallets to appropriate heightsÂ
• Load and unload materials from trailers by handÂ
• Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the distribution centerÂ
• Check loads to make sure they are secureÂ
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standardsÂ
• Coordinate trailers moves within yard management systemÂ
• Accurately complete production paperwork to track progressÂ
• Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularlyÂ
  
  

What You'll Need

• High school degree or GED required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills needed
• Ability to work overtime when needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulateÂ

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)Â
