🌟 Job Summary

Quickparts is seeking an experienced Senior Paint Technician who will be instrumental in preparing 3D printed, cast urethane, CNC machined, and other manufactured parts for paint. In this role, you will ensure exceptional finishing quality through precise color matching, coating applications, and meticulous part finishing, upholding our commitment to part integrity and customer satisfaction.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Surface Preparation & Finishing

• Trim, finish, and prepare parts ensuring surface integrity and optimal conditions for paint application
• Use measuring tools to layout and mask parts, fill holes or gaps with appropriate patching materials, and maintain part geometries during the process
  
  

Paint Application & Coating Processes

• Mix paint colors using in-house color matching systems based on samples or Pantone numbers
• Prime, paint, clear coat, and apply decals using a variety of paints such as lacquers, primers, synthetic enamels, polyurethane, and epoxy with HVLP equipment
• Buff and polish parts to achieve the desired finish while preserving product quality
  
  

Equipment Maintenance & Quality Assurance

• Disassemble, clean, and maintain paint guns and related equipment to ensure consistent performance
• Recognize, report, and safely address process issues (e.g., warped parts, contamination) promptly
  
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Work in close collaboration with team members, sales, project managers, and customers to align on requirements and deliver high-quality specialty finishes
• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and technical documentation to effectively plan and execute finishing operations
  
  

🎯 Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in finishing, masking, and painting using HVLP equipment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Demonstrated expertise with automotive and industrial paints, including proficiency in paint matching systems
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and measurements; working knowledge of 3D CAD and basic computer skills
• Physical ability to handle moderate tasks, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds frequently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an exceptional attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
