Packaging Project Coordinator Create value at TC Transcontinental.

In this position you will be responsible for providing direct front-line onsite client support, packaging project management and day-to-day activities of line review projects. In addition, you will follow projects fully through the art production/prepress process. This position requires to work in our client offices located mid-town Toronto.

• Provide the TC and client teams with upcoming project forecasts, current project timelines, status reports and priorities.
• Manage customer relations and build a solid business partnership.
• Manage communication process with customer on behalf of TC Packaging Team and act as technical resource for production issues and work with the internal team to resolve any quality, design or other production issues.
• Manage the packaging development and approval process from the project briefing meeting, through photography and production artwork development phases, to prepress file release.
• Coordinate production as required, including job entry, tracking and translations.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures documents as required.
• Validate dielines and ensure supplied files meet the required specifications.
• Develop Photo Shot list and format Copy deck and ensure they are aligned and follow packaging brand standards.
• Attend Pre-production, Kick-Off, and job opening meetings to ensure project details are gathered, as required.
• Utilize online tools (including online approval and project management applications).
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, communicating to the TC team where process improvements could be implemented.

• Post-secondary diploma or degree (or work experience equivalent) in computer graphics or Packaging production
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar role in the Packaging industry
• Good understanding of all Canadian packaging & product regulations, including but not limited to the packaging and labeling act, CCCR, Charter of the French Language
• Good u nderstanding of packaging print process and their potential impact on brand executions
