Position Title: Packaging Development Engineer-Meta Can

Location: Japan

Job-Type : On-site, Full-time( 1 year possibility of extension)

• Job Description:Packaging Design & Development:
• Create and refine packaging designs, closures for metal cans, considering factors like product protection, shelf life, ease of use, and aesthetics.
• Material Selection & Testing:
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials, ensuring compatibility with the product and the metal can, and conducting tests to assess durability, sealing strength, and resistance to various conditions.
• Process Optimization:
• Work to optimize packaging processes, reducing waste, minimizing costs, and improving efficiency throughout the packaging line.
• Quality Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that packaged products meet specifications, are free from defects, and are compliant with relevant regulations.
• Collaboration:
• Work with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and supply chain, to gather requirements and feedback, and ensure packaging aligns with overall product strategy.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of packaging specifications, test results, and production data, and prepare reports as needed.
• Problem-Solving:
• Troubleshoot issues related to packaging, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth production.
• Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines during packaging operations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate or Engineering degree in Packaging or related field.

• 2- 5 years minimum experience in metal can packaging for pet food, Food & Beverage or related industries

• Good communication skills both oral and written(Japanese & English is must)
