Description And Requirements

Outside Sales Representative – Tyson

Love talking food and making connections? As an OSR, you’ll work with grocery store teams to boost Tyson sales and bring our products to life in stores!

Your days will be filled with:

  • Selling delicious Tyson products and getting new items on the shelves.
  • Pitching promotions and eye-catching displays.
  • Keeping shelves stocked and products looking their best.
  • Supporting exciting store events like sales, food shows and grand openings.
  • Building strong relationships with store teams and having fun while doing it!

Responsibilities

  • Visit the assigned stores for Tyson in the territory monthly.
  • Present new items for our clients - Tyson and secure orders for same.
  • Present promotional activity to store buyers and secure orders and if possible off shelf displays.
  • Reviews distribution on existing items to be sure they are being carried.
  • Assist in any merchandising needed for our products.
  • Supports the store on all special projects such as demos, trade events, remodels, new store openings, etc.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products we sell and new items.
  • Maintain a rapport with regional managers of our clients.
  • Keep all informed of issues with stores, competitive activity, trends etc.
  • Maintain full distribution and display of products in assigned accounts.
  • Rotate stock, clean and stock displays and tag/sign as appropriate.
  • Perform such duties as checking date codes, ensuring adherence to approved plan-o-gram.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned including but not limited to:
  • Pallet Jack Operation; heavy load hoisting, material packaging, pallet disassembly and assembly, material handling, supplier audits, product expertise, and brand image alignment.


Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED


Work Experience Requirements:

  • Two years prior grocery retail or CPG experience required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).
  • Ability to learn and understand safety standards.
  • Ability to Keep up with marketing trends and use that when upselling
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others and be a team player.
  • Must be able to speak and hear.
  • Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp and stand on a daily basis.
  • Must have good vision, dexterous use of both hands and be able to operate a tablet, email, Zoom, and Excel.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
