Position Overview:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team in the Raleigh-Durham area. In this role, you’ll be responsible for generating new business, managing leads, and closing sales in the energy efficiency space. You’ll be supported by our back-office staff and sales manager, but will be expected to work independently to prospect, present, and close deals with business owners and decision-makers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting: Visit 10-20 businesses per day, seeking new opportunities for energy efficiency upgrades.
  • Lead Management: Manage and track your leads through our CRM system and stay organized with your pipeline.
  • Sales: Close 2-4 deals per day, directly engaging with decision-makers to secure contracts for energy-efficient retrofits.
  • Installation Monitoring: Ensure smooth handoff and installation of upgrades after closing the sale, ensuring customer satisfaction and project success.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Prior sales experience is preferred, but not required. While a background in refrigeration is a plus, it is not necessary to succeed in this role.
  • Communication Skills: You must be a strong communicator and comfortable building rapport with business owners and stakeholders quickly.
  • Self-Starter: You should be motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while managing your time effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using a CRM and project management tools to manage your sales pipeline.
  • Vehicle: You will need your own vehicle for daily visits to customer locations.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: Weekly base salary, plus 5% commission on the value of each sale.
  • Sales Range: Sales range from $1,000 to $25,000, meaning earning potential is uncapped.
